Kim Armenta has been named publisher of Vegas magazine, effective immediately, group publisher Alison Miller announced yesterday.
Armenta arrives at GreenGale Publishing, the company formerly known as Niche Media, from K2Factor, LLC, a media consulting firm she founded two years ago. Armenta brings extensive media sales experience to GreenGale, particularly in the Las Vegas area; among other roles, she served as group publisher of Greenspun Media's Las Vegas magazine and Vegas2Go.
In the new role, Armenta will focus on broadening Vegas's stable of advertising clients with a multi-platform focus, including events, according to a company statement.
“I am so excited to join Vegas magazine and bring my depth of knowledge and passion for this exciting and unique city to GreenGale Publishing,” said Armenta in the statement. “I look forward to working with the talented Vegas team to develop new, dynamic ways to connect with our readers through our multi-media and innovative platforms.”
Interestingly, Greenspun Media Group, a separate entity from GreenGale, announced today that Vegas magazine competitor Las Vegas Weekly will expand distribution beyond the bright lights of Sin City and into Southern California, beginning with its May 12 issue, ahead of a Memorial Day redesign.
