Hanley Wood, LLC plans to launch ARCHITECT in October to focus on information critical to practicing architects, including “ideas to inspire their designs, enhance their practice, expand their business and connect with their peers,” the company announced today.
“ARCHITECT is the right magazine at the right time,” Peter Goldstone, President, Magazines Division, said in a statement. “This launch — and others to come — is Hanley Wood’s response to the explosive growth in non-residential construction.” ARCHITECT will launch with a companion Web site and will be showcased at the AIA show in June.
Joining Hanley Wood as editor-in-chief of ARCHITECT is Ned Cramer, who has served as curator of the Chicago Architecture Foundation for the past four years. Previously, he spent seven years as executive editor of Architecture magazine.
